I thought I was organized until I met Dan! We had a long and complicated road before we were finally able to build our dream beach home, and by the time we were able to move forward, we needed someone we could truly trust to bring it all together. Dan stepped in and made it happen. I had a vision for our home, and he brought it to life faster than I ever expected. From day one, his communication was outstanding. His weekly updates (with pictures) kept us informed every step of the way, and his transparency gave us complete confidence throughout the process. Every subcontractor he brought in was fantastic. They were professional, skilled, and committed to quality. The attention to detail was incredible, and the finished product exceeded our expectations. I still pinch myself every time I walk down the stairs and look around our home. Every detail was thoughtfully considered and executed beautifully. Building a home can be stressful, but Dan made the experience enjoyable and seamless. Without a doubt, I would use him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a builder who is honest, communicative, and truly cares about the end result.

This is a perfect example of "you get what you pay for"; Dan is an excellent communicator who regularly provides photos and updates on progress and timelines and the quality of his workmanship is first class. He is one of the most detail oriented people you could work with. Most importantly, he had a tight timeline with us and met the deadline without sacrificing quality, this was very impressive. Dan exceeded our expectations in every way! Dan was highly organized throughout our project, communicated clearly and consistently, and delivered exceptional quality workmanship. Last year, my family and I decided to renovate our entire condominium in Avalon, NJ. We were lucky enough to find a great contractor, Dan Ball, owner of DRB Developers. From beginning to end, Dan was amazing. He made promises and delivered on every one of them. Care was taken to complete the project quickly and on time. It was done within a timeframe that would not disrupt others living in the building. Safety measures were always observed to minimize dust and debris during the job. Every subcontractor that Dan referred us to for choosing plumbing fixtures, tile, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, closets, appliances, etc. were clearly very experienced and offered excellent advice. They were all a pleasure to work with and delivered quality goods.
Dan was always on site and available to answer questions providing immediate feedback. Every detail mattered to him and all of our concerns were addressed. Each week we were given an update on what was completed with photos and sometimes videos. It was so exciting to watch the process go from gutting to completion. The stunning transformation was well worth the investment and the unit was ready for our first family weekend this past Memorial Day. Dan also did extra things, like hang artwork/photos and complete some extra painting that we had forgotten about in our outdoor shower and storage unit. The price was fair and the budget was met. The bills were sent timely and easy to pay online. We can’t imagine that there is any developer out there better than Dan! Choose DRB for your South Jersey renovation. You will not regret it!

We had the pleasure of working with Dan and his team on our Avalon renovation in 2023/24. Dan was our lead contact throughout our project. Through a collaborative effort between Asher Slaunwhite Architects and Dan’s site leadership we were able to maintain the charm and character of our 1962 cape style cottage. The craftsmanship and attention to detail was excellent and ultimately produced the elevated style beach cottage we were looking for. Our project experience with Dan was smooth and effortless. Dan is very well organized and coupled with his attention to the smallest of details, ensured a seamless project experience for us as owners. Dan Ball was the project manager on a renovation of my Stone Harbor home last year. The highest compliment that I can give him is that he “got” me. That, being the driver of our relationship, led to creative and collaborative solutions not only for problems but also for design. Many changes were made to the original architect’s drawings. All the subcontractors would remark on how organized Dan was and how he managed to keep the project on schedule. As a senior citizen and widow, I appreciated the time Dan took to discuss the financial benefits of various approaches to the building process. He is a keen observer who at the end of project would see a missing screw in a hinge, make a note of it, and replace it the next day. That end of job punch list, which is so often a nightmare, was ardently completed. I couldn’t be happier with the finished work.

Dan Ball, recently served as project manager on our dream house on the water in Avalon. Dan was great to work with regarding the project. There were timing considerations as well as the property itself being on the water and building exactly what we wanted. Dan was able to do many things for this project. Most importantly he worked tirelessly to keep the project on time and when there were issues, he was able to provide solutions. The weekly updates of photos and status of the construction were greatly appreciated. Building a custom or semi-custom home is no small commitment so have someone like Dan on your team is a real asset.
